Lahore Issues Schedule for Today’s Muharram Processions and Majalis

Authorities in Lahore have released the official details of today’s Muharram processions and religious gatherings across the city. According to the district administration, a total of 42 processions will be taken out under different security categories, while hundreds of majalis will also be held throughout the day. These arrangements are part of the city-wide plan for Muharram processions and majalis in Lahore today, aimed at ensuring smooth conduct and public safety.

Commissioner Lahore Maryam Khan said that out of the 42 processions, 8 are classified as Category A, 32 as Category B, and 2 as Category C. These categories help authorities manage security arrangements based on sensitivity and crowd size. All procession routes have been carefully planned to maintain order and minimize disruption in the city.

In addition to the processions, a total of 410 majalis will be organized across Lahore. These include 45 Category A majalis, 275 Category B majalis, and 90 Category C majalis. The administration has ensured that facilities such as water supply, sanitation, and emergency response services are available at key locations.

Officials further confirmed that municipal services are fully operational and central control rooms are actively monitoring all activities. Live surveillance systems are being used to track both processions and gatherings in real time to ensure quick response in case of any incident.

The district administration has stated that all security, drainage, and cleanliness arrangements have been completed in advance. Authorities remain on high alert as Muharram processions and majalis in Lahore today continue under strict supervision and coordinated management.
